I had to make some more schedule adjustments to prevent teams from forfeiting games. I assumed that most teams don’t want to win by forfeit. Please let me know if the changes create a problem. Make sure the new schedule is sent to all your players. I hope this will conclude the changes to the 2012 schedule.

Summary of Changes:

• Air Zion vs. And One – Moved from 8:00PM on Feb. 7 to 9:00PM on Mar. 15
• Brentwood vs. Venture – Moved from 7:00PM on Feb. 14 to 9:00PM on Mar. 13
• Young Bulls vs. Team Jesus – Moved from 7:00PM to 8:00PM on February 7 (Only two games this night.)
• Only two games on February 14. Those games have not changed.

Please let me know if the changes hurt your team’s ability to get out to the gym. If these changes are not acceptable to both teams, we may be forced to cancel the game because one team can’t get their guys out on that night or morning.

Please note that there have been some schedule changes.  The 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM games have been swapped on the following dates.  On the schedule page, the changes are colored in blue and italics.  All teams still play on the same nights.

I apologize for the change. The change was necessary because I had unfairly scheduled Young Bulls for the early game 5 times out of 8 games. Please make sure the new schedule is sent to all your players.

Also, the schedule now has results thru the first week of games and the standings have been updated.

The season starts tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this).  Let the games begin!  Some notes:

• Coaches, don’t forget to bring a check to the first game if you haven’t paid your team’s dues yet.
• Players, don’t forget to pay your coach! (He’s not a bank)
• If you are new, read here to learn about the league.
• Take a moment to refresh your memory or learn the rules for the first time.
• You can always find the schedule of all the games.
• As the games get under way, we’ll have standings posted.
• Contact us with any questions.
• Feel free to send us any pictures of the games to post.
• Have fun and glorify the Lord with all that you do!

Immanuel Bible Church’s Men’s Basketball League began over 15 years ago. It has expanded over the years to include participants from churches and ministries all over the Northern Virginia area. Teams vary from very good to average, games are competitive and exciting, and ages range from 20′s to 50′s. Many of the teams return year after year making it a community of basketball players who love the game. In addition, this is more than a basketball league. It is an opportunity for followers of Jesus Christ to share their most important passion of all, their love for the Savior. It is our prayer for this league to be a witness to the love that Jesus Christ has for each one of us. The most important decision you will ever make in your life is whether to accept Jesus into your heart and mind.
